On September 9, the final national stage of the “Pearls of Independence” (Garaşsyzlygyň merjen däneleri) song and music contest for talented children—dedicated to the 35th anniversary of our sacred Independence—was held at the “Türkmeniň ak öýi” building in the “Nowruz Ýaýlasy” area of the Ak Bugday District.
Held within the framework of the President of Turkmenistan’s “Golden Age of the Turkmen” (*Türkmeniň Altyn asyry*) award competition, this festival for talented children serves as an excellent platform for trials, new initiatives, and creative exploration, inspiring children to showcase their abilities and talents. The final stage of the contest featured aspiring stage performers—as well as dance, musical, and folklore groups—poised to elevate the renown of our national art in the future. This creative showcase holds special significance as it takes place during the year marking the 35th anniversary of our country’s Independence.
The primary objective of this nationwide children’s contest is to foster the development of national musical art by widely promoting both folk and contemporary popular songs. The program for this concert included not only musical performances showcasing the diverse talents of the youth but also various works that highlight the rich variety of our national musical culture.
The jury members selected the most talented participants of the competition. Amidst the sustained applause of the audience, the winners of the children’s music competition were announced: Nurgözel Berdiýewa (4th-grade student, Ashgabat Secondary School No. 99), Allanazar Annageldiýew (8th-grade student, Arkadag City Secondary School No. 3, specializing in English), Leýla Çaryýewa (8th-grade student, Kaka District Secondary School No. 10, Ahal Region), Sary Amanow (7th-grade student, Gyzylarbat District Secondary School No. 26, Balkan Region), Hudaýberdi Hojaberdiýew (7th-grade student, Görogly District Secondary School No. 17, Daşoguz Region), Aýna Döwletýarowa (5th-grade student, Dänew District Secondary School No. 2, Lebap Region), and Baýramdurdy Çaryýew (5th-grade student, Oguzhan District Secondary School No. 11, Mary Region). They were presented with diplomas and valuable gifts on behalf of the Head of State. All participants in the competition received commemorative gifts.
