Residents of the remote villages of Ataguy and Böri in the Dervezinsky district of the Gokdepe district of the Ahal province now have access to modern communications services, according to the country’s MIC.
Specialists from the Akhaltelecom company successfully connected these settlements to the telephone network and the Internet via the national satellite TürkmenÄlem 52°E.
Thanks to the project, rural residents gained access to high-speed internet, digital government services, electronic payments, and online education.
The introduction of satellite technology aims to improve the quality of life in the region, accelerate information exchange, and boost local business development. The connection is part of the state strategy for digitalization and expansion of telecommunications infrastructure throughout the country.
