ADNOC’s international investment arm, XRG, has officially transitioned from a prospective investor to an active operator in Turkmenistan. The company has joined as a Diamond Partner for the upcoming 31st International Conference and Exhibition “Oil & Gas of Turkmenistan — OGT 2026,” scheduled for October 21–23 in Ashgabat.

The milestone follows XRG’s acquisition of a 38% participating interest in Offshore Block I in Turkmenistan’s Caspian Sea sector under a Production Sharing Contract alongside PETRONAS (57%, operator) and State Enterprise Hazarnebit (5%).The asset grants access to over 7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas resources, backed by a long-term Gas Sales Agreement with State Concern Turkmengas.

Now valued at over 150 billion dollar, XRG continues to expand its global gas portfolio across key regions including North America, Africa, Eurasia, and Latin America. To support long-term operations and broader cooperation in offshore development, export infrastructure, and emissions reduction, the firm established a permanent office in Ashgabat. Its prominent sponsorship at OGT 2026 underscores XRG’s expanding presence across the broader Caspian energy corridor.
