The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide Tajikistan with 1.1 billion US dollars to support key sectors of the economy. President Emomali Rahmon recently visited the country for the first time and received the president of this large financial institution, Masato Kandu.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the main areas of interaction and the prospects for further expansion of cooperation. The Tajik leader noted that ADB makes a significant contribution to the development of the country’s socio-economic infrastructure.
Over the past period of cooperation with Tajikistan, the ADB has implemented more than 200 projects in this country with a total value of 3 billion US dollars.
