102-years and 51 days old Japanese Kokichi Akuzawa has conquered the summit of Mount Fuji, becoming the oldest climber to reach it.
Akuzawa had already conquered Fuji at the age of 96. The new ascent lasted three days. The summit made him a record-breaking legend as the oldest person to climb Mount Fuji (male). The Japanese resident got into the Guinness World Records. And he did it after fighting back to health from heart failure.
Fuji is an active stratovolcano on the island of Honshu and the highest mountain in Japan. Its height is 3,776 meters.
