The “Leather Ball” football tournament, organized by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan in conjunction with the Arkadag City Department of Education, concluded in the city of Arkadag. The competition was held to promote sports and physical education among secondary school students during the Renaissance of a newly prosperous state.
The tournament took place on the football fields of secondary schools in the city of Arkadag and brought together five teams made up of students in grades 5 and 6.
Following the results of the competition, the team from the 1st specialized educational complex of the city of Arkadag took first place, scoring 10 points.
In the tournament, which was held in a round-robin format, the teams from the 2nd and 3rd specialized secondary schools with in-depth study of English took second and third place, respectively, scoring 7 points each.
The awards ceremony for the tournament’s winners and runners-up took place as part of the children’s football festival, which took place at the Arkadag stadium training ground.
