A new record has been set in China’s train technology. A 1.1-ton train has accelerated from zero to 700 kilometers per hour in just 2 seconds. The test run, conducted by experts from the National University of Security
Technology was carried out on a 400-meter special railway in the city of Datong. The acceleration of a train, that is, reaching such high speeds in a short time, can be harmful to the human body. For testing purposes, this railway vehicle was able to accelerate to high speeds and stop for a short distance. China aims to develop trains that can travel at speeds of 1000 kilometers per hour by combining this technology with a system similar to the Hyper loop (a train moving in a vacuum). When such a system is implemented, the speed of the trains will be faster than that of an airplane.
