The Turkmen delegation is participating in the XVIII Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS, which started yesterday in Dushanbe, as reported by eccis.org.
This year, the event is titled “The Commonwealth of Independent States: New Horizons of Humanitarian Cooperation.” During the Forum, topical issues of humanitarian cooperation within the CIS are being discussed.
The program includes discussions in four key areas: historical memory and the contribution of the CIS peoples to the Great Victory; a harmonious combination of traditions and innovations in culture; modern challenges in science and education; as well as the role of media in strengthening humanitarian ties.
In his greeting, Sergei Lebedev, the CIS Secretary General, stated, “At the current Forum, during the plenary session and at the discussion platforms, figures of science, education, culture, and art will discuss in detail and determine new priorities for humanitarian, cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation among the Commonwealth states.”
During the plenary session, the interstate award “Stars of the Commonwealth” and the international award “Commonwealth of Debuts” were presented. In addition, a presentation of the Interstate Program “Cultural Capitals of the Commonwealth” was held.
According to the Forum program, yesterday evening at the Sadriddin Aini Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, a concert by the CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra took place, which this year is headed by People’s Artist of Russia and laureate of the “Stars of the Commonwealth” award, Sergey Skripka.
The forum will close today, on May 15.
