Turkmen-South Korean technological cooperation is reaching a qualitatively new level. A historic agreement was signed in Seoul between the “Amatly çözgüt” business company and S&T System Inc. This agreement resulted in the establishment of the first joint venture between the two countries, “Yerli Tor”, created to produce high-tech IT equipment, as reported by the country’s IIC.
The main goal of the new facility is to establish a strong national base for the production of modern computing equipment and strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty. The enterprise will provide the public sector, large corporations, data centers, and critical infrastructure facilities with reliable servers, data storage systems, and advanced networking equipment assembled domestically.
The project relies on an effective division of labor between the partners. The Korean side will transfer advanced technologies, provide ready-made engineering solutions, and provide expert support. Turkmen specialists, in turn, will adapt the equipment to national standards, prepare the production infrastructure, and integrate the products into the local market.
A full production cycle will be deployed at “Ýerli Tor”. This will include not only the direct assembly and configuration of the equipment, but also rigorous quality control, multi-stage testing, software integration, and subsequent warranty and service support.
In the long term, the joint venture will become the foundation for the in-depth training of local engineering personnel and a consistent increase in the level of product localization. The launch of “Ýerli Tor” will create conditions for innovation and bring Turkmenistan’s digital infrastructure up to modern global standards.
