President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution on the construction of a modern building of the Güneşli Children and Youth Center with an observatory and a digital library in the capital.
The document provides for the conclusion of a contract by the Ministry of Education for the design and construction of a modern complex, which will be equipped with advanced equipment and meet international standards. The adjacent territory will be improved.
The structure of the center will house the Bazar Amanov State Children’s Library, equipped with modern digital technologies. A special feature of the project will be an observatory with a telescope for observing outer space, the construction of which will be financed by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.
According to the resolution, construction work should begin in June 2025. The facility is scheduled to be fully operational in May 2027.
The project is aimed at “developing the national education system and strengthening the material and technical base of educational institutions of Turkmenistan based on modern technologies.”
