Eight young specialists from Turkmenistan have become students at the Central Asian University for Environment and Climate Change (Green University), according to the country’s IIC.
In preparation for the upcoming studies, the project office of the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) in Turkmenistan held a meeting between the office director, Mergen Kepbanov, and enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.
The successful admission of Turkmen citizens was a practical result of the close partnership between CAREC’s project office and the international green university. Representatives of the office provided applicants with comprehensive organizational and consulting support throughout all stages of the selection process, from document preparation to academic interviews. Following the competitive selection process, eight Turkmen students received student visas and official admissions: four of them will continue their studies in undergraduate programs, and another four will pursue master’s programs.
During the meeting, Mergen Kepbanov congratulated the applicants on their important professional achievement, emphasizing the priority of training qualified personnel for a sustainable environmental future for the region.
The office director noted that studying at an international university will allow future specialists to master cutting-edge green economy tools and build a broad network of professional contacts. At the end of the discussion, the students shared their expectations for the educational process and received practical recommendations on research and academic integration.
