Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a new digital service called “Direct Umrah,” enabling pilgrims—both from abroad and within the country—to book Umrah packages online.
Previously, Abdulmuhsen Al-Salem, the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, noted that booking options via online platforms were being expanded and that no new requirements had been introduced for the Umrah pilgrimage. The new service operates through a digital system, allowing users to review service types, prices, and terms before making a booking.
The digital service is facilitated through authorized travel platforms such as ShareTrip, Wakanow, Bookme, Wego, and Almatar. The offerings range from packages excluding the Umrah visa to comprehensive packages that include the visa, air travel, accommodation in Mecca and Medina, meals, intercity transport, and guide services.
The announcement does not specify whether this service is available to residents of specific countries, such as Turkmenistan. Availability, payment methods, and entry requirements must be verified on the selected platform, as these conditions may vary depending on the traveler’s documents.
