Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev outlined key priorities for economic partnership between Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, proposing a transition from simple trade exchange to deep industrial cooperation.
According to him, the strategy for cooperation until 2035 should be based on a unified geography, the elimination of trade barriers, and the launch of joint production chains based on the formula “six economies – one product.”
To implement this initiative, the head of Uzbekistan proposed holding the first Central Asia-Azerbaijan business forum in 2027 and creating a dedicated platform for financial and technical support of joint investment projects. The Council of Ministers of Trade and Investment has been tasked with thoroughly examining the mechanisms of the new integration format at its upcoming meeting in Ashgabat.
