The final round of the international competition “Tatar Kyzy-2026” took place at the “Ruhyýet Palace” in Turkmenbashi. The project aims to preserve historical heritage and evaluates participants’ knowledge of their native language, their creative talents, mastery of traditional crafts, and culinary skills.

For the first time in history, the final was held in Turkmenistan, taking place on the Caspian Sea coast within the Awaza National Tourist Zone. The event was hosted following the 2025 triumph of Turkmenistan’s own Alsu Rafikova, a native of Dashoguz.

The festive program combined intense competitive challenges and vibrant performances by artists from both countries. The finalists presented presentations of their family values, demonstrated their skills in handicrafts, prepared national dishes, and walked in traditional attire. Creative performances, joint dance compositions by the ensembles “Dehistan”, “Dagdan”, and the State Dance Ensemble of Tatarstan, as well as a joint fashion show by fashion houses, symbolized the mutual enrichment of cultures.

The evening concluded with a performance of the famous kushtdepdi dance, a vibrant celebration of friendship, the strengthening of humanitarian ties, and successful cultural diplomacy.
