On September 25, a briefing was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tajikistan, dedicated to the results of the next session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, which took place on September 19, this year, in Ashgabat under the chair of our National Leader, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The event was attended by the staff of the Embassy, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora and intelligentsia living in Tajikistan, as well as Turkmen students studying at higher educational institutions of Tajikistan.
During the briefing, speakers emphasized that the Halk Maslahaty meeting addressed key issues of state and social development, including ensuring a prosperous and happy life for the population, strengthening economic growth, and preparing for the celebration of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence at a high organizational level.
Particular attention was paid to the extensive work being carried out in agriculture, transport and communications, industry, and socio-cultural development. The importance of a policy of permanent neutrality, expanding international cooperation for peace and trust, and comprehensively strengthening friendly and fraternal relations was emphasized.
In their speeches, the students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, who are undergoing internship at the Embassy, underlined that in Turkmenistan, special attention is paid to educating the younger generation in patriotism, humanism, and a healthy spirit, to fostering a strong body, and to ensuring the moral and social development of youth.
In addition, the discussions also touched upon the official visit of the Head of State, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to the United States, where he attended and delivered a speech at the 80th jubilee session of the UN General Assembly.
It was noted that this historic address not only proved Turkmenistan’s commitment to the positive policy of neutrality and the fundamental principles of international law, but also clearly demonstrated the country’s readiness to contribute to the development of international cooperation and the strengthening of global peace.
