The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan held a competition of innovative projects among the country’s youth called «ICT Start-up: Innovative Technologies for Sustainable Development». The competition was organized by the university jointly with the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The intellectual competition aroused great interest among young people and attracted numerous participants who had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and abilities at the event. Young people under 30 years of age took part in the competition – high school seniors, students of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions of Turkmenistan, as well as young specialists of the country.
The competition was held over two days and included seven areas: Artificial Intelligence; Robotics and Automation; Smart Agricultural Technologies; Smart City; Education and E-Learning; Digital Medicine; Service Networks.
The projects proposed by the participants belonged to the following categories of projects: small business creation; procurement projects; large projects; creative or social projects.
The competition was held in an atmosphere of rivalry and friendship, becoming an effective platform for the exchange of useful knowledge, creative ideas and valuable experience, expanding ties between representatives of educational institutions and business structures of the country.
Based on the results of the competition, the jury decided on the winners of prize places in each of the seven areas. The winners of the competition were awarded diplomas, letters of thanks and certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and valuable gifts from the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The award ceremony for the winners of the competition ended with a festive musical concert with the participation of the creative student group «Kuwwat» of the Energy Institute.
The competition was held in order to identify talented young people who are striving to master entrepreneurial skills and create their own business, encourage and support innovative activities and start-up initiatives of young people, and educate a purposeful generation with a broad outlook, capable of skillfully applying modern technologies.
