On September 1, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) hosted a conference dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan and the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth.
The event was attended by officials of the Consulate, the Chair of the Astrakhan Regional Public Organization for the Preservation and Development of Turkmen Culture, Turkmen students studying in the Russian Federation, as well as teachers and pupils of the Secondary School named after Maktumkuli Fragi in the village of Funtovo, Astrakhan Region.
During the conference, the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation G.Ilamanov warmly congratulated the youth on the beginning of the new academic year. He emphasized the importance of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, highlighted the main achievements and successes of Turkmenistan attained over the 34 years, and underlined the importance of the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
The conference also featured speeches by F. Kadyrova, Chair of the Astrakhan Regional Public Organization for the Preservation and Development of Turkmen Culture; R.Shadzhiev, teacher of the School named after Maktumkuli Fragi; and G.Nepesova, a second-year student at Astrakhan State University named after V.N.Tatishchev. Furthermore, pupils of the School named after Maktumkuli Fragi recited poems of the great poet in the Turkmen language.
Within the framework of the conference, on behalf of the Consulate, letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts were presented to students, pupils and teachers of the School named after Maktumkuli Fragi in Funtovo, Astrakhan Region, in recognition of their active participation in festive events organized by the Consulate of Turkmenistan.
