An 80-ton specialized cable for the construction of a cableway was delivered from France to Uzbekistan via Turkmenistan.
Alexandra Ogneva, Project Manager for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia at Rhenus Logistics, reported that the shipment began in the port of Sète (France), then proceeded through Istanbul along the Middle Corridor, transiting through Alyat (Azerbaijan) and Turkmenbashi, crossing the steppe regions of Turkmenistan, and finally arriving in Tashkent.
Projects such as these clearly demonstrate that the Middle Corridor is gradually becoming a reliable logistics backbone for the entire region, Ogneva noted.
The Middle Corridor, known as the International Trans-Caspian Transport Route, connects countries in Europe and Asia, passing through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. This route is used for container shipping using rail and sea transport.
