On April 8, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Committee of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan for Environmental Protection, Using Natural Resources and Agroindustrial Complex S. Gayypov and Regional Representative for Central Asia of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany Andre Algermissen.
During the meeting, the guests were briefed on the priorities of our country’s domestic and foreign policy, the activities of the national Parliament, and the our country’s achievements in its ecological diplomacy.
The parties paid special attention to bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany and «Central Asia + Germany» multilateral formats, including the «European Union and Turkmenistan» and «Central Asia + EU» formats. In this regard, the importance of supporting the inter-parliamentary dialogue of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan with the European Union and relations with the OSCE PA member states, as well as inter-parliamentary cooperation with the German Bundestag was also noted.
During the meeting, discussions were held on environmental protection, efficient use of natural resources, support for cooperation in science, education, and inter-parliamentary relations.
