On November 26, 2025, a meeting was held between the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India Bandaru Wilsonbabu.
The Chairperson of the Mejlis congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the high diplomatic post, wished him great success in his work aimed at further developing multifaceted relations between the two countries.
The diplomat was acquainted with the priorities of the peace-loving, humanitarian domestic and foreign policy of Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan, as well as the work of the Turkmen Parliament.
The parties noted the importance of cooperation between the two countries in such areas as political-diplomatic, trade-economic, energy, and cultural-humanitarian.
During the meeting, the importance of the work being carried out in the country under the leadership of our Esteemed President to improve the national education system, educate and train young people with broad-minded views, capable of managing innovative technologies was noted.
During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction that there are vast opportunities to exchange experience in improving national legislation and parliamentary work, to get acquainted with the opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, and to strengthen friendly relations between peoples.
During the conversation, the parties noted the important role of interparliamentary cooperation in the development of mutually beneficial interstate relations based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and trust.
