On September 25, a musical and cultural event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence was held at the Caspian Institute of Maritime and River Transport named after General Admiral F.M. Apraksin.
The event was attended by the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan), representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Astrakhan Region, the leadership of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Astrakhan Region, faculty and students of the institute, and students of the Makhtumkuli Fragi Secondary School in the village of Funtovo.
In his speech, Consul G. Ilamanov emphasized the significance of Turkmenistan’s Independence and the achievements achieved over the past 34 years. He also noted the development of scientific, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, including the implementation of joint programs and projects, and emphasized the importance of the recent meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
The event continued with poetry readings, performances of Turkmen folk songs, and the playing of the national instrument, the dutar. The event concluded with a national dance, the kushtdepdi.
Following the concert, consul of Turkmenistan and the Caspian Institute Director O. Kartashova held a patriotic mentoring meeting with Turkmen students. The consul spoke in detail about the state policy of the President of Turkmenistan regarding youth and the opportunities created for them in the country.
