A vibrant musical evening entitled “Music is the Soul of Cinema” took place at the Watan Cinema and Concert Hall, bringing together fans of Turkish television series and connoisseurs of live orchestral sound, as reported by the turkmenistan.gov.tm.
The ensemble, led by Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rovshen Nepesov, once again presented the capital’s audience with a program consisting of popular soundtracks to famous dramatic stories.
The evening featured melodies from the series “Forbidden Love”, “Family”, “Magnificent Century”, “The Kinglet – Songbird”, “Hercai,” “Kara Sevda”, and others. Familiar musical themes transported the audience to a world of on-screen experiences, where every emotion resonates with particular poignancy.
The live performance infused the compositions with new life. The orchestra succeeded in highlighting the subtlest emotional nuances, from lyrical tenderness to a tense dramatic climax.
The concert concluded with an energetic melody from the TV series “Love for Rent,” which was met with thunderous applause from the audience.
A special artistic touch was the performance of the soloist, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Selbi Annadurdyeva. Her vocals were performed from behind the scenes, preserving the effect of an off-screen performance and bringing the sound closer to the original soundtrack versions. Conducting that evening was Eziz Jumaniyazov, who perfectly captured the character of each composition.
The concert was further proof that music truly can breathe life into on-screen images and make cinematic stories truly unforgettable.
