Hardworking farmers of the Lebap velayat have harvested more than 19,600 tons of potatoes from 1,400 hectares this year, exceeding the state order. These figures indicate that the yield per hectare has exceeded 140 centners.
In the Charjev etrap, this crop was planted on 500 hectares, from which more than 7 thousand tons of harvest were harvested. 4,200 tons of potatoes were harvested from 300 hectares in the Danev and Sayat etraps, while 2,107 tons and 1,822 tons of potatoes were harvested from 150 and 130 hectares of land in the Kerki and Halach etraps, respectively.
It should be noted that this important food crop is sold to customers in the country’s markets and stores at affordable prices. Part of the harvest was sent to specialized cold storage facilities of the agricultural production association “Miwe”, which makes it possible to provide the population with environmentally friendly potatoes throughout the year.
