The tanker Koroglu, part of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) fleet, completed scheduled repairs and resumed shipping, making its maiden voyage following its renovation to the port of Kiyanly, Turkmenistan.
The repairs were completed on schedule at the Zykh Ship Repair and Construction Yard. The vessel’s underwater and above-water sections were cleaned and painted, and the deck, engine room, piping, electrical wiring, and hull were renovated, along with the living quarters and dining room.
Following the repairs, the tanker successfully completed sea trials and has resumed transporting crude oil.
Earlier, on July 17, 2024, the tanker Zangilan, built at the Baku Shipyard for ASCO, made its maiden commercial voyage.
