The grand opening of the Abu Dhabi National oil company (ADNOC) office took place in Ashgabat on the 24th of November.
ADNOC is the largest international oil company in the United Arab Emirates. Turkmenistan consistently strengthens its energy cooperation with ADNOC as a responsible global leader committed to ensuring universal access to energy and promoting sustainable development.
The office of the company is located in the new, fashionable «Arkach» business centre of the capital. The ceremony was attended by the head of the «Türkmennebit» State concern, G. Agajanov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan, Ahmed Alhameli, the heads of several diplomatic missions, business representatives, and media representatives.
Within the framework of international cooperation in the oil and gas sector, our country places particular emphasis on establishing close business relationships based on trust and mutual benefit. In this regard, Turkmenistan sees the importance of introducing advanced technologies, innovative approaches, and best international practices to develop the energy sector and diversify export routes.
This year, ADNOC strengthened its presence in Turkmenistan: the company entered into a strategic agreement to develop «Block 1» in the Caspian sea jointly with «Petronas», the state concerns «Türkmengaz» and «Türkmennebit».
As Ahmed Alhameli, UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan, emphasised at the opening ceremony, the Ashgabat office is not only a symbol of expanding cooperation but also a shared vision of a sustainable future and partnership.
In this regard, the diplomat expressed deep gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, and the Government of Turkmenistan for their continued support of multilateral cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, wishing them peace, progress, and further development.
