Football club “Akhal” successfully passed the qualifying round of the AFC Champions League 2, winning away against the Tajik “Regar-TadAZ” with a score of 2:1.
From the first minutes, the match was a tense struggle. The Turkmen team demonstrated coordinated actions both in defense and in attack, which made the first half dynamic and spectacular. However, the score was opened only in the second half.
In the 62nd minute, after a corner kick, Bagtiyar Gurgenov headed the ball into the opponent’s goal, putting Akhal ahead 1:0.
The Tajik team responded with a quick attack, and already in the 64th minute, David Atsam restored the balance – 1:1.
After that, the game became even more tense. Akhal increased the pressure, and in the 82nd minute, Suleiman Mirziyoyev scored a precise goal to set the final score – 2:1 in favor of the Turkmen club.
With this victory, Akhal entered the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2. The draw for the tournament will take place on August 15.
