On March 3, the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater hosted two festive concerts featuring Albert Zhalilov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia), as reported by turkmenistan.gov.tm.
The event was timed to coincide with International Women’s Day and organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan.
The singer was joined on stage by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, conducted by the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rasul Klychev.
The concert program included works by Rejep Gutlyev based on poetry by Kara Seytliev, as well as compositions by Alexander Pakhmutov, Evgeniy Doga, Raymond Pauls, Arno Babajanyan, and Georgy Portnov.
Following the performance, the artist noted the warm welcome from the Ashgabat audience and emphasized the importance of cultural exchange between the countries.
