Football players of Ahal and the capital’s Altyn Asyr played to a 0:0 draw in the final match of the 18th round of the Turkmenistan Football Championship among Premier League clubs.
The game took place in Ashgabat at the Nisa Stadium.
This was already the third meeting of the main rivals fighting for medals in the current national championship. In the first round, Altyn Asyr won a minimal victory away – 1:0 thanks to an accurate strike in the 83rd minute by Ruslan Tadjiev, and in the second round, they won on their home field – 3:1.
The teams approached the third point confrontation, neighboring in the tournament table. Before the match, Altyn Asyr was 2 points behind Ahal and, in case of victory, could overtake it and move into second place. However, this did not happen.
Thus, having earned one point each, the opponents remained in their places – “Akhal” with 32 points in second place after 16 games, and “Altyn Asyr” with 30 points in third place after 18 matches.
Let us remind you that “Arkadag” is leading the championship of Turkmenistan with a 100% indicator – 57 points after 19 matches.
There were no changes in the scorers’ race. “Arkadag” football players occupy the first three lines here: Didar Durdyev – 18 goals (1 – from a penalty), Begench Akmamedov – 17 (1) and Altymurad Annadurdyev – 13 (1).
