Today, the country widely celebrates the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers. In honor of this professional holiday, the opening ceremony of the international exhibition and scientific conference “Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of a Sovereign State” was held at the Exhibition Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations operating in our country, doctors from abroad and many guests attended the opening ceremony of the international exhibition.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the congratulatory message sent by the President of Turkmenistan was listened to with great enthusiasm. At the opening ceremony of the international exhibition, the performances of the children’s music group of the “Jahan” creative center operating in our capital, Ashgabat, were a unique gift.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the “Health” state program initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
The exhibition reveals the achievements of the country’s healthcare system. The pavilions of the country’s sanatoriums, as well as Turkmen private enterprises operating in the healthcare sector, present their products.
Medical products manufactured at the Arkadag Medical Cluster Management enterprise in Arkadag, the region’s first “smart” city, aroused great interest among foreign guests attending the exhibition. The exhibition also attracted specialized companies in the health sector from Germany, Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Turkey and many other countries, and their stands widely presented equipment related to the health system and various pharmaceutical products. There are also stands of higher education institutions of our country on the exhibition grounds. They tell about the work being done at the school, achievements achieved at the international and national levels, and scientific work carried out. The stand of the International University of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists, which accepted its first students in the 2025-2026 academic year, also took part in the exhibition. The stands of higher education institutions also provide information about the experiments and discoveries conducted in their laboratories. Currently, Turkmen youth are studying at prestigious higher education institutions in leading countries of the world. The exhibition also includes stands of higher education institutions from China, Malaysia, Russia, Belarus, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Turkey. They introduce the participants to their scientific and educational opportunities.
The international exhibition also paid special attention to the sports sector. The exhibition stands widely highlight the achievements of our country in the sports sector. It also created ample opportunities to obtain information about the achievements of Turkmen athletes in international sports competitions. The exhibition, organized jointly by the Ministries of Health and Medical Industry, Education, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, will last until 15:00 on October 12.
