The “Brain-ring” intellectual competition, consisting of three stages, was held at the Balkanabat branch of the “Kämil bilim” educational center. The Main Education Department of the Balkan province, the province Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, and the Balkanabat branch of the “Kämil bilim” educational center organized the event.
25 teams participated in the competition. Among them were students from the Balkanabat branch of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, the Balkanabat Oil Secondary Vocational School, the province Specialized School of Arts, as well as students from grades 10-12 of the city’s secondary schools.
The qualifying round, which took place in February, was organized as a test. In subsequent rounds, teams competed for the right to advance to the finals.
According to the “Brain Ring” rules, participants demonstrated not only deep knowledge but also the ability to find the right answers in seconds, logical thinking, and teamwork skills. The finals featured students from the Balkanabat branch of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University and students from Balkanabat Secondary School No. 24.
Sokhbetmurat Bashov, a robotics instructor at the Balkanabat branch of the “Kämil bilim” educational center, commented on the organization of the event and the youth’s participation:
“This competition has become a modern platform for intellectual competition among young people. In the age of digital technology, special importance is placed on young people’s ability to quickly analyze and formulate accurate conclusions. The results of the three stages demonstrated the high level of knowledge of the young people and their keen interest in such intellectual games. In the future, we plan to regularly hold such events to identify talented young people.” According to the judges’ decision:

• First place went to a team of students from the Balkanabat branch of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas;
• Second place went to students from Secondary School No. 24 in Balkanabat;
• Third place was shared by teams from Secondary Schools No. 12 and No. 6 in Balkanabat.
The winners were presented with certificates of honor and commemorative gifts from the competition organizers and sponsors. This intellectual competition was important for stimulating young people’s interest in science and enhancing their creative abilities.
