On January 22, the Turkmen capital will host the international conference “Health and Nutrition in a Changing Climate,” dedicated to food security in the face of global warming.
Participants will discuss the creation of resilient agrifood systems capable of addressing climate risks. The conference builds on the decisions of the Nutrition for Growth Summit in London (2013) and the 30th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Brazil (2025).
Discussions will center on the “One Health” concept, which recognizes the interconnected health of people, animals, plants, and ecosystems. This approach seeks to balance safe food, clean water, energy, and climate action.
The event will bring together officials and experts to develop joint solutions. The program includes a ministerial segment, technical sessions, and a final session to discuss evidence-based policies and avenues for international cooperation.
