In September, independent international experts conducted a final analysis of the “Single Window for Export-Import Operations” project, which is being implemented by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. As reported by the website customs.gov.tm.
Currently, 19 ministries and 24 sectorial administrative agencies of the country are connected to the Single Window system. According to data, approximately 100,000 permits were processed through the system in 2024 alone, and approximately 120,000 documents in the first eight months of 2025.
Based on the assessment, the Single Window system was recognized as an important step toward accelerating foreign economic relations and simplifying interactions between the government and the business community. It was also confirmed that its key areas clearly align with Turkmenistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization.
It was noted that the implementation of this system has improved interagency cooperation and created new opportunities for the transition to digital public administration.
