On November 26, 2025, in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University hosted an international scientific and practical conference and exhibition in a hybrid format “Prospects and implementation of digital innovative technologies in the scientific and educational sphere”. The conference was attended by professors, researchers, graduate and master’s students, students, specialists from foreign companies and international organizations, as well as specialists from relevant ministries and agencies.
The conference was attended by approximately 1,500 specialists, scientists, and students from 22 countries, including China, the Russian Federation, Japan, Malaysia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Austria, Iran, Romania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Panama, Jordan, and Turkmenistan.
Conference participants first toured the exhibition housed in the main building of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. The exhibition showcased new digital solutions, interactive learning tools, and educational programs, as well as displays reflecting the achievements of this institution’s faculty and students during in the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State and our national values.
The opening ceremony of the international scientific and practical conference “Prospects and implementation of digital innovative technologies in the scientific and educational sphere” followed, featuring a wide range of presentations. The main goal of this international forum was to discuss digital innovation trends, analyze the potential for integrating modern technologies into science and education, and develop international cooperation in digitalization.
The scientific and practical conference continued its work in the sections “Digitalization and Digital Technologies in the Education System,” “Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence,” and “The Role of the Digital Economy in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals”.
Over 30 scientific papers were presented at the conference’s general plenary session, and over 120 papers were presented in three sections. As the speakers noted, the country has achieved high rates of development in innovative digital technologies in a short period of time. This was made possible by the successful implementation of long-term socioeconomic development programs, which prioritize the adoption of global best practices in integrating high technologies, digital resources, software, and artificial intelligence into the scientific and educational system.
At the international scientific and practical conference “Prospects and implementation of digital innovative technologies in the scientific and educational sphere” it was noted that Turkmenistan is always ready to continuously expand cooperation with foreign universities, companies, international organizations, and research centers in the fields of science, technology, and innovation, and to coordinate joint efforts.
