On August 27, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan (AST) held an international webinar on the topic “The Role of Science in Promoting Peace and Sustainable Development”, as reported the newspaper “Türkmenistan”.
Along with Turkmen scientists, representatives of scientific circles from China, Japan, the USA, Romania, Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan made presentations on various topics.
Professor of the University of Pennsylvania (USA), Doctor of Historical Sciences Frederick Hiebert spoke about his work on the history of Turkmenistan, including the Anau culture. He took an active part in archaeological expeditions in Turkmenistan under the leadership of the famous scientist Victor Sarianidi.
The speech of Alexey Soluyanov, expert of the payment systems and digital financial technologies department of the British company Colvir Software Solutions Ltd., PhD in Economics, was devoted to global trends in the development of payment systems and innovations for the near future.
The international webinar also featured scientific reports on modern methods of material analysis, genetics and cytology, design and construction to ensure seismic safety, production of organic and organomineral fertilizers, monitoring and management of methane leaks in the oil and gas industry.
The work of the international webinar continued in the afternoon in sections. The first session was held in the conference hall of the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, and the second in the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
