An observatory with a telescope for the scientific study and observation of celestial bodies will be built on the grounds of the Bazar Amanova State Children’s Library in Ashgabat. This was announced by Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Affairs at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, during a working visit to the city of Arkadag by the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
According to her, the observatory’s construction is planned as part of a large-scale modernization of the library, supported by the Charitable Foundation. The project not only renovates the library’s premises but also creates conditions for young readers to engage in scientific and educational activities.
The National Leader of the Turkmen People inspected the project and praised the initiative to create a modern astronomical infrastructure for children.
