The Uzbek confectionery chain Safia is considering entering the Turkmen market. This was announced by the company’s co-founder, Bekzod Samigjanov, at an open dialogue between ambassadors and entrepreneurs in Tashkent, as reported by Spot.uz.
The company already operates in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan and plans to expand its presence. Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan are named among the priority markets.
Safia has opened approximately 10 stores in Kazakhstan. According to Samigjanov, confectionery exports totaled 7-8 million dollars last year.
Safia was founded in 2001. The chain currently comprises over 145 branches.
