The organizing committee has begun accepting submissions for the eleventh Turkic World Documentary Film Festival. Submissions can be made until June 30, 2026, via the event’s official website. The
2026 forum will be held under the motto “Deep Roots of Culture – A Strong Future.” The organizers emphasize the preservation of historical memory and the development of contemporary documentary filmmaking in the countries of the Turkic cultural space.
Participating countries include Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Northern Cyprus. The geography of the festival is expanding to include the Russian regions of Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Khakassia, Tuva, the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), and Gagauzia.
The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, TÜRKSOY, TİKA, YTB, and the Union of Municipalities of the Turkic World supports the festival. TRT Avaz, Türkmeneli TV, ASIA TV, EL ARNA and Bayrak Radyo Televizyon Kurumu provide information coverage.
