This prestigious international award will recognize authors of outstanding achievements and scientific research in geography, ecology, and related sciences, as well as groups and organizations that have made significant contributions to the preservation of natural, historical, and cultural heritage and the development of society.
In 2026, the crystal and silver statuettes will be presented for the 14th time. Over the past 13 years, nearly 5 000 groups of authors from 51 countries have been nominated for the award.
Scientific and educational institutions, creative unions, Russian and international organizations, enterprises from various sectors, as well as independent initiative groups, public figures, and individuals are invited to participate in the application process.
Winners will be selected in the following categories: “Scientific Achievement,” “Travel and Expedition,” “Education,” “Best Media Project,” “Photography,” “Civic Position,” “Publication,” “Best Regional Project,” “Best Social Information Project for the Preservation of Natural, Historical, and Cultural Heritage,” and “Best Environmental Project of Industrial Enterprises or Businesses.”
Applications can be submitted on the official website rus-compass.ru until February 10, 2026.
