At a government meeting on January 16, Deputy Prime Minister H.Geldimyradov reported on preparations for the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) Week.
It was noted that the Week will include an economic forum, meetings of relevant working groups, and other gatherings. Issues related to expanding cooperation in the economic, energy, water, and environmental areas are also scheduled to be addressed.
Measures to enhance energy, transport connectivity, and improve digital trade and economic corridors using UN standards will be discussed during the Week.
A proposal was submitted in this regard.
Summarizing the report, the head of state emphasized that interaction with the United Nations and its specialized agencies is a priority for Turkmenistan. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that proper preparations for SPECA Week be ensured and that it is held at a high level.
