The UNICEF Office in Turkmenistan announces the start of accepting applications for the Youth Summer Climate School in Ashgabat. The initiative is aimed at enhancing the skills of young people in the fight against climate change, reducing the risk of disasters to achieve sustainable development.
The platform will provide an opportunity for training and networking in the fight against climate change to ensure a significant role of youth in national and international climate policy. Persons aged 16 to 25 with a high level of English proficiency can apply. The school will run until August: June 3-5 – opening of the youth eco-camp, June 18-19 – the second session, July 2-3 – the third session, July 16-17 – the fourth session, July 30-31 – the fifth session and August 13-14 – the final session.
Participants must complete three mandatory online courses to receive the appropriate certificate for participation.
