In the academic year 2025-2026, a number of sportsmen who achieved high results in competitions became students of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports, as reported by the newspaper “Turkmen Sporty”.
Also, the results of applicants who achieved success in international competitions, championships and cup competitions in various sports, and performed as part of national teams were analyzed. Their achievements in sports were taken into account as an important advantage when accepting students. In accordance with the rules proposed by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, talented and prepared graduates achieved success in the entrance exams.
As a result, among those admitted to the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports in the new academic year, there is 1 international master of sports, 34 candidates for master of sports, 43 winners of international competitions, 149 winners of national level competitions, and 146 winners of regional level competitions.
In addition, 194 young athletes are members of the country’s national teams, as well as representatives of leading teams. 33 graduates of the Sports School have also joined the ranks of students of this higher educational institution.
