On August 17, will be held in Bolivia Presidential and parliamentary elections. The current head of state, Luis Arce, has decided not to run for another term.
Eight candidates are competing for the highest state post. According to polls, the favorites are representatives of the right-wing forces – businessman Samuel Doria Medina and former president (2001-2002) Jorge Quiroga.
In addition to the head of state, Bolivians will have to elect 130 deputies and 36 senators.
