A fan museum dedicated to Hong Kong and American actor and martial artist Bruce Lee has been closed in Hong Kong. The official Bruce Lee fan club announced this on its Facebook page.
The museum’s collection includes 2,000 artifacts, including sculptures, magazines, and rare footage.
“Expenses have forced us to consider how to use our resources most effectively to keep the flame of Bruce Lee’s spirit alive,” museum representatives say.
The museum’s revenues fell even during the coronavirus pandemic. It is unknown whether the museum will reopen.
Bruce Lee’s family founded the official fan club.
The star of Fist of Fury and Way of the Dragon passed away in July 1973 at the age of 32. A traveling museum of artifacts related to him first opened in another location in Hong Kong in 2000, and then reopened in 2019 after a long hiatus.
