On August 15, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea B.Durdyev took part in the celebrations held in Seoul on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the national holiday of the Republic of Korea – Liberation Day, with the participation of President Lee Jae Myung and other members of the Government.
Speaking at the event, the President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung emphasized the Korean people’s heroic struggle for freedom, the division of the Korean Peninsula and the Korean people’s desire for national reunification, the preservation of the region, free from nuclear weapons, the development of cooperation with Japan as a neighboring country, despite the historical conflict, and last but not least, the preparation of the Korean side to hold the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. (APEC), which will be held in the Republic of Korea at a high level in the third quarter of this year.
Within the framework of the event, Ambassador B.Durdyev had a brief conversation with the President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung.
During the talk, Ambassador B. Durdyev conveyed congratulations and warm greetings to the Head of State of the Republic of Korea on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the holiday. In turn, the President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung expressed his gratitude for the congratulations and greetings and asked to convey his greetings and best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
