On 24 September, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan held an official reception in the Imperial Hotel of Tokyo organized on the occasion of the Independence Day of Turkmenistan and the 30th anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality.
The reception was attended by members of the Government of Japan, members of Parliament, heads of ministries and departments, higher education institutions, representatives of companies working in Turkmenistan, foreign embassies, international organizations, public associations and the media, as well as our compatriots working in Japan and Turkmen students studying in this country.
The official part of the event featured speeches by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A.Bayramov, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan H.Fujii, the Minister of Justice of Japan K.Suzuki and the Chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Interparliamentary Friendship Group T.Endo.
The speeches highlighted the foreign and domestic policies of the President of Turkmenistan and National Leader of the Turkmen people in the field of national development, achievements and successes in the political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres during the years of independence, as well as the development of Turkmen-Japanese relations.
In addition, the event featured an exhibition of books by the President of Turkmenistan and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Turkmen carpets and cultural treasures, as well as informative videos about Turkmenistan.
After the official part of the ceremony, guests were offered dishes of the national cuisine accompanied by Turkmen music.
