The children’s football festival “Grassroots” was held in Ashgabat, organized by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan together with the specialized children’s and youth school of the Olympic football reserve.
About 150 children born in 2014-2015 took part in the festival. The event took place in the format of game training aimed at developing basic technical skills of young football players. Several thematic stations were organized on the football field, where the children practiced goal kicks, took part in various competitions, contests and relays, as well as performed various exercises.
The young participants enthusiastically joined all the proposed activities, demonstrating their interest and love for football.
The main goal of the festival is to increase the popularity of football in Turkmenistan and attract children to this sport. At the end of the event, the participants received soccer balls as a gift from the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
