According to the Hong Lei, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China, 26 foreign heads of state and heads of government invited by the President Xi Jinping, to the events commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Among the invited heads of state are the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the presidents of other Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Leaders from Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Russia, Türkiye, Iran, Belarus, Azerbaijan, and other countries are also expected to attend the ceremonies.
A military parade in honor of this event will be held on 3 September, morning, at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. At noon, a reception will be held in Beijing. President Xi Jinping will make important remarks. On the evening of that day, a gala will be held in Beijing.
