From 21 to 24 October 2025, the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan were held in the ancient Khorezm and in Tashkent.
On 21 October, an official opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan took place at the musical drama theatre of the Khorezm Region. During the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan N.Shirimov and First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan B.Akhmedov delivered congratulatory speeches. In their remarks, they emphasized that such events make a significant contribution to further strengthening centuries-old bonds of friendship and brotherhood, and to developing cooperation in cultural and humanitarian fields.
As part of the event, the opening of an exhibition demonstrating museum valuables, decorative art pieces, and artworks reflecting Turkmenistan’s rich cultural heritage was held. This exhibition received great attention of the visitors and became a shining example of inseparable cultural ties between the peoples of two countries.
During its visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Turkmen delegation led by Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan N.Shirimov held a meeting with Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan O.Nazarbekov. The sides discussed the development of cooperation in theatre, music, cinema, and visual arts, as well as the expansion of cultural exchanges. In particular, special attention was given to preserving the spiritual heritage of both nations.
During the visit, the Turkmen delegation visited the historical and cultural monuments of the ancient cities of Urgench and Khiva.
On 22–23 October, the performance of the Dashoguz Regional Nurmuhammet Andalyp Musical Drama Theatre was presented in the Khorezm Region and in Tashkent, receiving a great attention from the audience.
On 24 October, the musical closing ceremony of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan was held at the “Uzbekistan” International Forums Palace in Tashkent. Within the framework of the event, guests attended a joint friendship concert by cultural and art masters of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
