On August 21, 2025, the Illusion Cinema in Astrakhan hosted a screening of the Turkmen film “Makhtumkuli Fragi” dedicated to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality.
The screening was attended by the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan), a delegation from Turkmenistan who arrived to participate in the Caspian Media Forum – 2025, students from Turkmenistan studying at Astrakhan universities, as well as representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in the region.
A. Atayev, Chief Specialist of the International Relations Department of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan, addressed all those gathered with a welcoming speech. He noted the significance of the work of the great poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fragi for the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan and emphasized the importance of developing humanitarian ties between the countries of the Caspian region.
