The 22nd Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2026) is set to take place from September 23 to 26, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. Organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and hosted by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), this year’s trade fair will be held under the theme “Shaping Trust, Driving Resilience”.
Managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd and endorsed by UFI, MIHAS continues its legacy since 2004 as the world’s largest Halal trade event and a primary gateway into the global Islamic consumer market. The 2026 edition aims to achieve RM4.5 billion in total sales and will feature 2380 exhibition booths, 50 country pavilions, and an estimated 45000 visitors. Historically connecting over 50 000 visitors across 100 countries on a single platform, the event provides comprehensive coverage of the Halal ecosystem spanning 14 key industry clusters. These clusters include Food & Beverages, Food Ingredients, Food Technology & Packaging, Pharmaceuticals & Medicals, Cosmetics & Personal Care, Islamic Finance & Fintech, Muslim-Friendly Hospitality & Tourism, Modest Fashion & Lifestyle, Retail & Franchise, e-Commerce, Education, Media & Recreation, Islamic Arts & Crafts, and Services & Enablers.

MIHAS 2026 will incorporate several core event programs, including the flagship International Sourcing Programme (INSP)—a hybrid business-matching initiative targeting 200 physical foreign buyers, 50 premium buyers, and 50 virtual foreign buyers. Additional components include the Hosted Buyer Programme connecting international exhibitors with major Malaysian retail and hypermarket chains, the Knowledge Hub featuring panel sessions and regulatory briefings, and the MIHAS Awards celebrating innovation and sustainable practices. This year’s event also highlights the introduction of Women in Export (WIEX), a new platform specifically designed to champion female entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses in international trade.
